Since August, affected by the continuous high temperature weather, Guangdong’s electricity load has hit a new high continuously, with the maximum load adjusted to 108.6 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%. At the same time, since the flood season, the inflow of the main river basins in Yunnan has generally been relatively abundant, and the situation of hydropower consumption has become more severe. From January to August, China Southern Power Grid gave full play to its role in optimizing resource allocation of the large platform for power transmission from west to east, accumulating 78.1 billion kWh of hydropower in Yunnan, exceeding the planned 18.4 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 23%.
